Steel wheels are the most basic rim available on most vehicles. Commonly silver or black, steel wheels are used along with a hubcap to provide a more aesthetically pleasing appearance than just the silver or black steel wheel itself. Some styled steel wheels do not accept a hubcap, their appearance is aesthetically pleasing without it.

The original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, use steel wheels as a less expensive alternative to aluminum wheels. This helps to keep down both manufacturing and selling costs of the vehicle. A steel wheel/rim is typically a very durable wheel that is not easily damaged by normal driving. While steel wheels are not easily damaged, when they are, they cannot usually be repaired, as it is more cost effective to replace them. Metro wheels sells repainted steel wheels that look and ride like new. The price of the steel wheel/rim will vary depending on the year make and model of your car.
Please note: our database does not show all the pictures of all the steel wheels - since many of them are basic black steel wheels.
